Denon’s Latest 5G Receiver Will Be Music to Your Ears

Denon is adding yet another feather to its cap soon with the release of a 5th generation AV receiver, the AVR-X2400H, in South Africa, and we’re on the edge of our seats. Building on the award-winning design of the AVR-X2300W, this model combines compatibility with all the latest home cinema sound and vision formats.

The AVR-X2400H’s predecessor won not just the EISA award for Best HT Receiver 2016/2017, but also the 2016 What Hi-Fi? Award for Best Home Cinema Receiver in its price category, and the 2016 What Hi-Fi? Readers’ Award…. so, expect perfection in a box from the AVR-X2400H!

Its finely tuned design takes HEOS multiroom wireless music streaming to a new affordable price point, with an even-greater ability for home theatre and music use. HEOS multiroom music streaming allows it to form the heart of a whole-house audio system.

Three-dimensional cinema experiences will be the norm with the built-in decoding for both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X packing the punch, while the AVR-X2400H’s 7.2 channel design delivers a max of 150 watts from each of its seven channels – powerful, precise and detailed sound from music and movies.

The eight HDMI inputs feed a video section, allowing the connection of all the latest devices. Have the benefit of full 4K Ultra HD, HDCP 2.2, BT.2020, Wide Colour Gamut and 4:4:4 Pure Colour on everything from game consoles, to Blu-ray players and streaming set-top boxes.

The AVR-X2400H is ready for Dolby Vision and HLG, and has an advanced video processor to upscale existing lower resolution video to true 4K. You can even connect a TV and a projector in parallel, thanks to two HDMI outputs.

Once connected, the AVR-X2400H opens up unlimited music sources and playback options, so enjoy high-quality music from Bluetooth, Ethernet or Wi-Fi (even in crowded environments).

With built-in HEOS integration, you can create a complete and expandable multiroom music system by sharing network-stored music and online services wirelessly with HEOS speakers and other HEOS-enabled devices around the home.

Remember too, it’s all operated using the free HEOS app, allowing the system to be controlled from any room in the house. Add extra “zones” or combine HEOS devices to create a complete party sound system.

And, setup is a breeze thanks to Denon’s exclusive Setup Assistant with clear on-screen graphics and text. Oh, and you can tailor the AVR-X2400H’s power consumption to the way you’re using it, thereby reducing power use by as much as 50% when playing at low levels, or set it to auto and let the AVR-X2400H decide for you, based on the content being played and volume levels.

Are you ready for it? We sure are.
